Custom barrel makers?

This has most likely been covered a number of times, and if so, I apologize, but I'm just not adept with "search" functions.

The Bride has decreed I'm to build her a (roughly) 3/4-scale squirrel rifle for her anniversary/birthday present next August.

So, I'm looking for a 30", swamped (think, A-profile) round-ball barrel in .32 caliber.

Any suggestions of where I should look, or who to talk to about such a critter?

Charles Burton of FCI barrels is likely the only one who could make you a barrel to meet that deadline.  There are other very good barrel makers, but with a much longer  wait.

Dave,

I heartedly endorse Charles Burton.  I'm working with one of his OTR smoothbores right now -- a great barrel. And it was delivered on time as promised.

Try The Gun Works - Oregon Barrel Co. 541-741-4118. See what they have or might make. Also Tip Curtis is worth a try, he usually stocks a lot of barrels - I don't have his number handy.

Here's a thought; Instead of a swamped perhaps go with a straight tapered barrel, you could cut it to your required length, or order it at 30 inches.

Because I didn't word my reply better,  I'll try to be more clear-  I have a couple of FCI barrels and they are great barrels.  I'm just saying that the time frame mentioned in the original post is likely too short to get one elsewhere

Rice makes a barrel that Jim Chambers uses with his boy's rifle kit. Jason may have one in stock. I would try them first. It comes in .32 A weight 34''....... Bob

 If you don't find a swamper, I have a 3/4X .32 straight and it is the only straight barrel rifle that feel good to hold.
