My latest bag and horn
« on: December 10, 2016, 09:58:48 AM »
Latest bag and horn combination...alone and with an Avance .50 Lancaster.
Bag is a mix of leathers... actually left-overs from other projects based entirely on the piece of leather used for the flap. I saw it laying on my bench and thought "that would make a good flap for a bag". Everything is 4 - 6 ounce vegetable tanned cow or pig hide. Don't have the pictures yet but the bag is saddle stitched with 5 cord waxed linen, stitched inside out with a gusset, inside pocket and an additional small outside pocket on front under flap. Total size is roughly 9" x 10". Buckle and D-rings are hand forged Horn ties are elk hide. Horn is a faux repair done with squirrel hide.
