For the lack of a better name;

I'm going to call this object a "doohickey". It's a "doohickey" that attaches to eyeglasses, and has a small hole, that one peers through, and it allegedly sharpens up ones sight picture. If someone could educate me on the proper name of this "doohickey", and where I might obtain one, I would be most grateful

A 3/8” circle of electrical tape with a 1/16” hole in the center sticks to my glasses in the upper left corner of my right lens exactly where my eye lines up with the sights of my rifle. It works better for me than the $65 doohickey, stays out of the way in the corner of my lens when I am hunting, and is always with me since it stores in my wallet stuck on my laminated hunting license. My targets don’t seem to be offended that I hit them using a cheap diopter  instead of super classy one.

 It can be made very simple or made into a complicated device, but it is an aperture.

I removed some of the off topic replies. I left what pertained to the original topic
