Well Thank You
I've hoped for years my work would be good enough to be in here with you fellas (and Barbie).
I've always worked to preserve the design and work of the original builder. Myron showed me and Jim Hash confirmed, that some of these guns were held together with copper brazing a.k.a. "copper sweat". Here's the right hand side of the two triggers I have for guns on the bench now;
On each trigger the side plates are held on to the trigger plate with copper brazing. Both the springs are made from spring steel and held on with one screw: Bean style. The "set" screw is a 4-48, made from 0-1 Tool Steel and like the original has a cross, not a slot. This makes it easier to adjust without removing the guard. The two trigger pins are 0-1 and have a small head or crown, the head prevents the pins from going in too far and the pins cannot come out until the "feather spring" is removed. The triggers are 0-1 and are hardened and polished.
