David Price Swivel breech rifle kit build-Update #12
« on: March 14, 2017, 10:53:15 PM »
In this update I知 continuing to work on the right side fore stock panel of the swivel breech rifle from David Price. In this update I値l cut in the lock molding and shape and rough sand the panel.

In this update you値l get a look at a simple fixture I made to deal with those delicate side panels.

Just a reminder, I知 not a professional builder, nor am I an advanced amateur.
This is how I do things. There are probably better ways to do the work you値l see in the video, but I don稚 know what they are. I知 always open to learning better techniques.

Mike:  it is my opinion that you would have found the work easier and better if you'd used a small rat tailed file to cut those panels rather than a knife and chisels.  Those transitions from a flat plane to a compound curved surface are subtle and the file would have made it easier for you.
