GPR rebuild
« on: April 12, 2009, 03:41:02 AM »
After this years flintlock season in PA I decided to refinish my GPR while I waited for parts to arrive for my next build.  I reshaped the forestock, cheekpiece, lockplate, nose of the comb and removed the perch belly.  I also added some traditional iron sights and refinished the hardware with LMF brown, but took to blue and rubbed back to gray-blue.

I've been doing a lot of reading and asking questions and I am starting on my first buld from parts.  I have done a couple of kits and did this GPR rebuild, more as something to keep busy and practice, then out of necessity.

Don't worry, as I progress I'll be asking LOTS of questions and taking my time.
