check out the gravers used by Wallace Gusler, and Herschel House in their videos. They are shop made, only three different gravers, a square graver, a wriggle graver, and an oval graver. that is pretty much what all long rifles were engraved with. most of the old masters weren't very good engravers. Even the hammers these two famous modern gunsmiths use aren't anything fancy. Hershel's is one made for him by his brother, and Wallace uses a square faced mechinist hammer. Good Luck.
