Hello, all.
After a lot of interesting research, conversations with PA long rifle enthusiasts, phone conversations (and one in-person talk) with gunsmiths, and the gracious help folks on this forum, I decided to go with Tim Williams to build a PA long rifle.
Tim was extraordinarily helpful, gracious, and knowledgeable (obviously) over a few conversations and e-mails. I'm excited for what awaits on the other end of the wait, of course, but also excited for all I'll learn and experience in the meantime, through Tim and everyone else I'm meeting along the way.
The other makers I spoke with were also helpful. (Two makers never returned messages.)
Oh, yea. Forgot a little detail. Tim will build a Lehigh Valley/Rupp schimmel. .40 caliber, 44" swamped Rice barrel.
