Last Knife (for Awhile)
« on: October 02, 2017, 05:42:52 PM »
Last knife for awhile as I'm probably boring y'all especially when I get off topic.  This knife was forged together with my son and it has both of our stamps on it.  It wasn't intended to be a period style knife but it seems to fit in with what I have bee seeing.  The patina is just coming with use.  Anyway OAL 10 1/2 inches with 6 inch blade forged from 52100 ball bearing steel.  The handle is Curly Eucalyptus...tippit

Now that's a knife I could cuddle up to.

Nice work and just the right amount of "oldness" (period style if you will) ;) I think I would have made the sheath a bit shorter where the handle of the knife is so as to get a better purchase on the handle - just my feelings :).

P.W.Berkuta,
Actually I did nothing to make "just the right amount of "oldness" (period style if you will)" except cut tomatoes with it :)
