Like the "poor shoe maker" ; finally finished up something for my self.
... Try to have a pouch for each rifle... Enjoy all the great talent on this forum; so feel free to let me know what I can improve.
Thanks for looking

Hi Don,
Welcome to ALR. Nice looking outfit. Did you make the horns, measure and brush? How did you make the bead (is that the right term?) around the opening? Post more stuff. I like your work.

Ky-Flinter... Thanks for the warm welcome. Yes all except the old pocket knife of course ...I've been fiddling with leather for a few years. the strip of leather is stitched around the opening then rolled over and stitches are placed under the front edge tight against the edge so they don't show and through the back. Hope that makes sense.

Very nice. I like that trim work around the opening edge. Having trouble visualising your description, but that's okay, thanks for sharing.

That is a nice bag. What is the width and length of the bag.
I understand how you made the roll but had never thought of doing it. Will try on my next bag.

First thanks to all of you for the kind words. I have made hunting pouches for friends.. started some time in the late 1970's ...Yes I'm an old guy..and still learning.
iloco.. the bag is 6" deep and 8" across .. the divider is formed by folding in the center and forms the rear of the front compartment and the front of the back one .
trentOH .. the rifle is a 50 cal. iron mounted flint rifle built by the late John Weston who worked at Conner Prairie
with John Schippers.; Mr.Schippers did the engraving. It is very special to me and needs to be shot more than it has.
So much talent on the forum and so little time...Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas God Bless.
My Best
