Daryl gave you a good clue reference a good and solid shooting position. I use a rolled up shooting mat on the bench and it delivers very good and consistent position! I move forward such that my chest is resting against the bench and both elbows are down and solid! Try it!

We had a discussion last week about further segmenting the black powder time in half and having an allowance for new definition of "antique only" powder only, no pellet with flint or an external hammer and cap and only iron sights.

When bench shooting, I find I can no longer touch the bench with my chest as my pulse moves the gun. When looking through high powered glass, even the blood pulse in my cheek moves the crosshairs almost an inch at 100 metres.

Ill tell you that we have revisited the same bench yesterday noting these issues and having made for correction found good results as far back as 100 yards.  That being as far back as I went yesterday
