barrel tenon pins question
« on: January 07, 2018, 04:49:37 PM »
I have had my barrel out of the stock for about 7 or 8 days while I was inletting my ramrod thimble and pipes. When I went to re-pin the barrel only 2 of the four pins went back in. The two at the muzzle end wont go. I can see light thru the holes and am guessing they are about .020 out of location. It seems the stock has moved on me. Any suggestions on what I should do would be great!

I'm guessing you haven't elongated the holes in the underlugs.  That is a good thing to do for this very reason.  If the pins had been in place when the wood moved, the wood will crack.
