I can see that one sticking out of a car window like a cane pole to get it to the range
When I traveled with it it had to go in a pickup with an 8' box or surprisingly, it would fit in my wife's KIA Soul. :o

Say, any of you boys smithies? Or, if not smithies per se, were you otherwise trained in the metallurgic arts before straitened circumstances forced you into a life of aimless wanderin'?

  It's really Mike's canoe
gun on steroids....
I could load that gun in a canoe, no problem. No more problem than the one I used to use that had a 4' barrel.

You could load that gun in a canoe, while it sat back in camp.

I have a 60” 75-cal smoothie barrel by Greg Christian, so add his name to the list.
All of my muzzleloaders will shoot into one ragged hole ALL DAY LONG ... it's just the 2nd or 3rd & other shots that tend to open up my groups ... !

Jason at Rice makes octagon to round barrels. How long he goes I'm not sure but he just sent me a 47" custom barrel I ask for.

Larry Horrigan in Michigan will make you anything you want up to 60 inches in a PC profile.

You will have to forgive me. What is a PC profile?

Well, Mr. Horrigan is making me a 50" barrel and I can't wait to see it! Very nice gentleman to deal with.

A second on Larry Horrigan, in Michigan. I'll get my next smoothy from him.

I'm pretty sure that Jason (Rice) and Charlie (Burton) are limited to 48".  Or both were the last time I checked.
