anyone here shoot a green river rifle works rifle? im a big fan of docs inlines and will likely be an owner of one of his sidelocks one day, just wondering if his sidelocks have the same type of following his other rifles have?

  I use a GRRW Hawken, .54 cal. to hunt deer.  Ohio season in now but haven’t saw a deer to shoot at.  Great rifles.

those curley stocks sure are purty! I don't know the good brands of traditional rifles at all really but defenatly trust my whites so I have a leaning towards the grrw guns just because of the association of the two companys.

I've had 2 GRRW barrels, a .58 and the .69 I currently shoot. Both were quite accurate, but both wanted/demanded heavier than normal loads to produce that accuracy over

what is normal hunting ranges, around here.  The .58 wanted no less than 140gr. of GOEX 2F, while the .69 wanted 165gr. I should note that today, it delivers very close to the

same performance with only 140gr. of 2F.  I am talking about good accuracy at 100yards PLUS.

I’d buy one at a decent price in a heartbeat. My .45 has quite wide grooves and feels choked. It loads very easily compared to other makers’ barrels with thick patches. 

But I’m not a guy who will pay more for a “nostalgia barrel” than a quality barrel from a current barrel maker

my average shot distance is under 20 yards on my mule deer hunts, so i don't need anything all that powerful or fancy, but i enjoy hunting with nice equiptment.

Many many moons ago, my sister's first husband had a GRRW Leman trade rifle and it was a great shooter. It really was a nice rifle. I just hope whomever stole it out of his truck enjoyed it as much as he did.  >:(

I have 2 of them both built by Gardell Powell. One is a 58 caliber and the other is a 50. I dont hunt with either one of them I bought them because I love Hawken rifles. Al

A trader friend of mine had one on his table at a gun show two weeks ago for $900. I don't know if thats a good price or not but the gun looked like it was in good shape when I glanced at it.
