Kibler entry thimble ideas please
« on: January 18, 2018, 10:19:21 PM »
I'm finishing up my Kibler kit  and think the entry thimble area of the stock looks awkward. I have built guns with regular entry thimbles and with no entry thimble, but never with a plain thimble at the entry. Finished Kimbers I look at look awkward to me too. Other than buying and installing a full thimble, any Ideas? I'm stuck.
                                                Thanks, Rich

If you are into history, some times things do not look right, or as you say awkward, but it is very right. If you are not into history do  anything that you like as long as it suites you.

Shape and form a skirt/extension/finial and solder it to the entry pipe then inlet.
