Post staining and finishing...

Stain: Laurel Mountain Forge Nut Brown / Full Strength / 1 Coat
Finish: Jim Chambers Antique Wood Finish (oil) / 3 Coats

That is certainly some carving of which to be proud.  Good on ya!   

At this point some makers rub some black into the carving to make it pop more.  Just a thought.  There are several tutorials on the subject.
