Fort William Herry Powder Hron

This is a recently completed rendition of the Thomas Smith Diamond horn that was in Bill Guthman's collection. The original now resides in the Flynt Center of Early New England Life at Deerfield, Massachusetts. Horn measures about 15 inches on the outside curve and the cherry base plug's finial is removable.

John that's fantastic!  Really awesome color on the spout, too.  That color really appeals to me.

Thanks for the compliments. Glad you liked it. I really enjoy doing renditions of historic horns. This one had a quite detailed image of Fort William Henry. (Please note that I can spell Henry correctly when I think about it. However, Thomas Jefferson said he had little respect for a person who could not think of more than one way to spell a word!)

Another beauty there John!  I am also currently drooling over your flattened and designed, very fine scrimmed Scottish horn that I have run across pictures of in several internet sites!   8)

My spell checker says I misspelled scrimmed! :)  I must be a "Jeffersonian"
