This is a looonnngg barreled Fowler by my fifth great-grandfather, who lived on the Chesapeake Bay. It is a fowling gun that is 70” in length. He was the grandfather of Thompson and Charles Neave who worked in Cincinnati.

That's very interesting.  I bought a rusty perc. lock still attached to the barrel at the Cumberland Show last year and after a little bit of cleaning it said T&C Neave, Cincinnati.  the lock is smaller (4") and the barrel is 33 3/4" in length and 7/8" across the flats.  It seems to have been the original length and for a smaller person (approx. .40 cal. smoothbore).  See you at the Show.  James Levy
