Georgian english flintlock pistols

Hi---most pictures I see are showing  engraved steel and carved stocks
       Were there any plain versions of these pistols
        little or no carving same for the metal
        Any pictures would help

Some were plain, but most were elegant, Sydney.

They weren't Plain, plain, but lightly dressed we might say.

Google "Livery pistol"   and some should show. Or "Coachman's pistol".   They are about as plain  as they come at times, just border engraved and a little work on the stock.  Still nice to look at!

Hi,
Livery and military Georgian pistols were fairly plain but I warn you that the stock architecture is very sophisticated and to get the shapes right requires research, understanding the proper components, and gun making skill.  There are a quite a few plain and ornate modern made "Georgian" pistols that missed the mark.

No amount of tarting up will help if the architecture isn't there.
