Kansas.  ;)
We've a no-closed season on rabbit and squirrel runs from June 1st till the end of February. Pretty much covers year round.  ;) Have also sent many armadillo to their maker in that time frame. Summer usually see's alot of snapping turtles meeting their maker also...but usually shoot them with a blackpowder revolver.  ;)

Kansas sounds like a good place for our nonhuman brethren to avoid! ;)

Snapping turtles are excellent eating! PIA to clean, but people will stand in line to eat some of it. They are good in soup and fried. I assume you do eat them...........right!
