Schryer Buttplate

Can anyone recommend an appropriate but slightly larger buttplate than the Reeves Goering #8 ? I looked at this buttplate at the winter show at Lewisburg, and it seemed a bit small for his earlier rifles. The #12 trigger guard is from the same rifle as the buttplate, I assume ?  Thank you, Roland

Sorry it took so long to get back, I just got some spare time to look up some examples: RCA #94 and 95. Both of these are early, in the 2" x 5" range, not a lot of curve. In the Schreyer Sr. and Jr. book: #10 and 11. Also the guards on these have a fairly straight rail that stands away from the wrist. Any suggestions on these ?

Roland there are buttplates st Muzzleloader Builders Supply that I think would work for you go to their site and peruse the buttplates. Don't  be afraid to call the suppliers and ask for advice. Ryan at MBS is a rifle builder and could probably assist you in getting the right BP and TG. I usually have to tweak  and refine hardware to get close to the original BP and TG. Tim
