Dave,

I saw all the ribbons on your fowler before I left yesterday, but I didn't notice the Best of Show.    Congratulations on the honors!   The recognition was well deserved on that gun.

Galudwig, Congratulations on your ribbons.  I also remember your gun, that finish really caught my eye.  Great job.  Hope to see you next year.  TomG

Dave,
Congratulations!  Your fowler was even more beautiful in person than in the pictures.  The award was richly deserved.

To all of the the other winners - congratulations and keep up the good work!

I would like to thank all of the ALR presenters who took time to present at Dixon's this year.  All of the seminars/demonstrations were great.  The new location "down the hill" was great also.
Thank you,
Kevin

I vote that next year you move Dixon's to Alabama so us Southern boys can join in on the fun. ::) It looks and sounds like everyone had a great time and I am very happy for the ALR members that did so well with their entries, the awards were very well deserved from what I can see. Congrates to all. I am also happy to hear that the ALR booth was busy and well represented with some very talented demonstrators.  Keep up the good work everyone.

Congrats to all the winners who represented the ALR so well.  Additionally thanks to all of the presenters who gave us some great classes.  Hanging out in the ALR tent is always the best part of Dixon’s.

Dave and ALL participants , Congrats to everyone involved ! It is looking like Dixon`s is a "bucket list" destination , and getting better all the time!! Dave , your "Best of Show" fowler , along with it`s , VERY well presented "play by play" tutorial ,  are likely to become , a piece of "longrifle culture" themselves. It is NOT very often , that a Master Craftsman , documents the creation of a piece , then later enters it into an , open competition , only to garner top notch honors. Those of us , who were fortunate enough , to follow along on this journey , surely have been blessed , to have witnessed it from a "board " to "BEST" . Now enough with the foofaraw!! , What`s next??

Congratulations Dave, what a fabulous gun.  You probably don't remember me but you let me handle it on Saturday. Thank you so much, it was a great honor. You truly deserved Best in Show.

Hi Folks,
Thanks for your support and comments.  We missed an ALR member.  Jim McClure won the Madison Grant award for his early York powder horn.  It is elegant to say the least.  Well done, Jim!

Congratulations on the judges realization that your entry  was the winner....hands down. Don't think there's  another builder thats as eclectic as you....your knowledge of the  many eras and styles  of Mlers is astounding and is evidenced by your willingness to build styles well out of the norm. .....Fred
