 Another beauty. What is the time frame for a bag like that and what kind of horn would go with it?

 Thanks Tim. I originally designed this to accompany a 17th century gun ade by Jud Brennan. It has some 16th and 17th century features. I got the stuffing idea from the fact old saddles and collars were stuffed and use the same tool to work the bag. I found an old bandolier pouch that had the "tuck and roll pleat" look. Bruce Horne made a horn to accompany the Brennan gun and my bag. I will include a picture. I would use a flask ; )

Marc, The color did take a little patience. Each piece is center spine which makes some nice contrast.

I think those pleated bags are the best looking shooting bags I have ever seen. (I have a slight preference for the first one, but the butterscotch one looks fantastic, too). The workmanship is outstanding. Thanks for posting your latest creations.

You are among many who prefer darker leather goods. I have ony recently become enamored with the tans, naturals and other lighter hues.

I'm with you, James, in preferring the lighter colors.  That "butterscotch" bag is just the thing!

I figure you probably used horse hair to stuff the pleats, as was done with old sofas, etc.  Does your horse ever object to being shaved?

Seriously, what IS your source for stuffing material?

Craig I have always used tow on these and insert it with a stuffing iron.
