Waiting on drying pouches.
« on: August 24, 2018, 12:00:27 AM »
While I’m waiting for step 3 to dry on the other two pouches,The Twins,I’m trying sumthin’ new.

This is inspired by a pouch I saw Hershel House was wearing, can’t re-call where, but we talked a bit about it,and it’s stuck in my pea brain head. To quote Mr House,”It’s kinda charming”

Hemp, doubled front and back,3oz veg tan flap, strap hangers and game hangers on the front lip.

Haven’t settled on a strap yet. I had a general idea what I was going for,but as usual for my work,it evolves as I go. Never know what’s at the end of the road till I get there. Then the field test to make sure she’ll be a good serviceable pouch.

That is gonna be a unique bag.  After wandering a few hours through the aisles of the CLA show Saturday, I realized that what I really NEEDED was a good haversack to tote my purchases. So now that’s on my list of kit to make...  :o

Hard to tell the size, is it a shooting bag or a haversack?  :-\

I'm going to use a few tricks on finishing the hemp, that may or may not work.

The "Twins" are dry now,(been really humid on the Lake Huron Shore),so I'll fool around with these and a couple of other projects cluttering up my bench.
