Does anyone know where I can get several barrel keys in iron that have rectangular shaped heads like those on the Mariano Modena Hawken?

Not off hand but they are easy enough to make from cold rolled or to buy from a supply house and then beat a bit and file into shape.

I would suggest making them yourself.  Its pretty easy and can be done cold forged or even with the use of a propane torch.  Takes a bit of hammer work, some grinding and some filing but its not hard.

Just a thought.

Have a look here.  You should be able to find something that you can make work.  The heads on some of these iron slotted keys is huge and can be filed to whatever shape you wish.

MBS also has those that are ground to a 45 degree bevel too.

The op used the Modena hawken as his example, so I assumed his build is a half stock.  If you are building a fullstocked rifle, you will need both a flat ninety degree headed key, and a couple of angled ones too, as Mr. B. says.
