I did not read every response. However, if you run a tight patch down the bore then you have just pushed all the fouling ot the bottom. I use a large patch on a pretty loose jag so it runs over the fouling going down and will bunch up when withdrawn pulling most of the fouling out. "Wet" is a mistake as well. "heavily damp" is better. If it drips its way too wet. I use cotton Diaper Flannel for patches.
So heavily damp patch up and down, flip it over and repeat. Dry patch on the same jag one pass on each side. Bore will be clean enough for max accuracy. Too much wet or wet fouling in the breech is poison...
