Len made a SMR for me in 1965.It had a Bill Large .445 x 13/16 and 44" long.
Walnut full stock cut from a plank,barn rafter I think.butt plate,trigger guard
and rod pipes from a wrecked original I bought from Bill Large.
I might have a picture of it on a gun rack with three other rifles I owned then.
May also have the letter Len sent me when he got the gun ready.
In 1969,medical bills forced me to sell it and several others to take up the slack
not covered by insurance.Bill Boyd, one of our top shooters here in WV got it and
shot it until it was worn out.Bill Large recut it and it was worn out again and was
replaced by a Douglas barrel in 45 caliber. I think I reconditioned the frizzen and
the internal parts were still fully functional so I did nothing to them.
