Butt plate Question
« on: November 13, 2018, 02:31:57 AM »
TOTW sells a Tennessee style butt plate that is in their words"diamond shaped". Their catalog #is BP-SM-1-I. Can any one point me to an original which uses such?

;) ;)... it is a feature unique to Southeast Tennessee rifles, mostly the Soddy area,... the butt-stock, especially the cheek-rest must follow the same style to be correct as to copy,.....forestock on most Soddy match rifles is diamond shaped in cross section also,... !!! ... post pix as you build,... !!! ... regards, CCF,....

Thank you Fiddler, I have the parts. Right now just in planning stages. I have lots of chickens to strangle right now. I like to think over a project long before I start it. Now I know which way my research needs to go in. By the way Cades Cove is one of the most beautifull places I"ve been to.
