IMO, that might be good for a cva rifle or other mass produced gun if it was air tight. I personally would get something with architecture and a correct look as well as dependability from Tim Crosby or one of the others. There's a reason that horn is priced at 50 bucks.

I am with James on this.  Get one from an artisan on this site or the Horn Builders site.  Powder Horns and More is good to deal with for unfinished horns.

But that is kind of what I'm looking for, a simple horn, for a simple rifle (a Tennessee Valley Muzzleloading poor boy gun), for a simple man!  :D
