Any of the Chambers locks will serve you well. I generally use more of the Golden Age model, simply because the larger lock plate gives me more steel to work with. I can't remember when I used a gun lock without "refining" the profile of the lock plate some. I tend to think of a gun lock as "raw material" that I refine to suit my vision rather than a component I am not supposed to touch.
The lock internals of the Chambers locks are first rate. So select a lock that gives you enough steel to make the gun you want and make the gun you want.
