This one is after a horn shown on page 291 of Bill Ivey's
North Carolina Schools Of Longrifles 1765-1865.
It is about 11 1/2" around the outside curve, tip-to-tip it is about 9 1/4. The from the Pic in the book it looks like the butt has a course grain so I used Ash, it is about 2" and held in by eight wooden pegs. The tip is also Cow horn and held by three wooden pegs. It has a double twist. It was dyed in a batch of old dyes and finished with Brown shoe polish.
