If the final surfacing is intended to be done with a hand scraper rather than abrasive paper, is wiskering done? If so is the Wiskering followed by very light scraping? Thanks

I believe the stock is usually burnished after scraping. If you use an alcohol based stain the grain wont be raised. I've been wanting to try scrapping a stock but haven't yet. If using aqua-fortes or iron nitrate I would think the heat would take care of the whiskers.
