New Patch knife

1084 steel forged, pewter filled iron bolster with file work, octagon handle of curly maple, scraped finish with aqua fortis and hand rubbed linseed oil finish, 1945 silver quarter end cap, peened through tang

nice,...that would make a fine small "all-around" knife as well !.

I like that, very nice. I have been wanting to try making a knife with a handle like that. Is the bolster closed at the front or is the end of the handle exposed?
I love the smell of Walnut shavings in the morning!

I like everything about this one. The architecture looks really nice. The wood and finish are super. The metal finishing too. What a nice knife. God bless, Marc

It is filled with pewter to close the opening.

Yet another fine piece!  I really like the through-tang construction, and that silver pommel is the bomb!

Beautiful work.  I find an octagon handle to be very comfortable on a knife no matter what type of grip position one may use
