Are the pictures here now?
Hi. Thought you'd like to see a "gussied up" Tenn. style rifle I made a while back. She sports a .50 cal. 38 in. Getz swamped barrel that measures 29/32in at the breech, 3/4in at the waist, and 13'16in at the muzzle. She has a lapped barrel and a coned muzzle. The lock is Chambers Late Ketland. Butt plate and trigger guard are hand forged. She weighs about 5lbs. with her tapered ram rod and shoots easy and true with a 70 to 80 grain ff load.

Nice sleek lines and at five pounds it must handle like a dream - hand forged hardware and carving! What's not to like?!

A fine gun & nice carving!
Leads me to my question - Were many Tenn. rifles carved or is this just a little artistic license? No offence intended, just don't know....................Lynn

Thanks for the comments. Yes carving was pretty rare but not unheard of in this area. If a customer wanted it and could pay for it and you could do it--Done.
