I to have one of his Twigg's on a 16 bore (at least its 2/3 complete) and I am very impressed with the trigger pull. Would love to have that trigger pull on one of my rifles.

Heinz; Sir, I have one of Mr.R Roller's locks in a pistol I built a year ago. I have the parts for a rifle I'm thinking about building. I think I'll install a R.Roller in that project. MR. Roller's locks are A+ quality. AJ

I have a fine old rifle built around 1973 with a Roller lock on it. The friend that gave me the rifle said he used a pound of powder a week shooting the gun and had for at least 15 years, he was the second owner. The first owner had put a bunch of powder through it as well.

The locks frizzen was a little loose and pretty dished out. I noticed Mr Roller was posting here so I asked him if he had a similar frizzen still. He said he did and if I sent him the lock he would replace the frizzen for me at a very reasonable price. He also wanted to see how his lock had held up after being in constant use for so many years.

He did a beautiful job on the lock and said every internal tolerance was still the same as when the lock left his shop so many years ago. The fact that the lock was virtually the same as new is an outstanding testament to superior craftsmanship Mr Roller put into the lock in the first place.

Many thanks for posting that picture of the small Manton lock (Bailes)equipped
with the double throated cock.This is an idea I have had for a while and decided to do
it.The performance is IMHO a bit better than the pretty goose neck cock because the
flint,flat side down strikes a bit higher than it does with the goose neck cock and gets a little
better "bite"on the face of the frizzen.The DT cock is not pretty but I have NEVER seen or
heard of a broken one but have seen and replaced broken goose neck cocks,not many but
they are more susceptible to breaking.
