Flintlock double barrel shotgun

Has anyone ever bought and used any guns from Access Heritage company on the web?
 I'm considering one of their Double Barreled Flintlock shotguns.

 I got one several years ago, just to see...….. I believe it is made in india…...it was a bizarre looking creature in most ways.....  I didn't even shoot it....just put an ad on a local gun listing and sold it.   several people wanted it and and the very first one paid my asking price, I was expecting to haggle so I asked a bit more than I had in it.... I was relieved to be done with it.

Let's be serious for a moment.  $650 for a new double barrel shotgun.  The two locks and a piece of wood will top that.
Like everything else, you get what you pay for.

Let's also be serious. It is one thing to buy a questionable made firearm in percussion as it will probably go "boom" most of the time. Buying this in Flintlock is asking to open a big 'ol can of worms. Poor quality lock, poor geometry of the lock, in-letting from $#*!, poor quality barrel and assembly is just asking for frustration and and a feeling of wasting your money. I believe it was Winston Churchill who said something like "you are easily satisfied when you buy the best".

You are close on the Churchill quote.

I think it went something like, "My tastes are very simple;  I have always been satisfied with the best".

To quote another, (Ruskin);

You should also consider the fact that flintlock doubles were the reason the percussion cap was invented, and that flint doubles popularity was relatively short lived.

That statement is no where near the truth. Flint doubles were around as long as the flintlock was in use. That is just like saying " "flintlocks popularity was relatively short lived. I shot pheasants  and skeet for many  years with an antique flint double. I preferred it's reliability over my percussion doubles.

Non drilled vents means it is not a "gun" so I would not shoot it.
Non-drilled vents means they are likely 'seamless' tubing barrels,
hand ground and polished to a taper (oft times the hole wanders
inside)
 Non drilled vents means it did not have to be proofed before being
 shipped, regardless if it has proof marks. They are 'replica' marks
 and thus are meaningless, just as they are on the military guns they
sell.

well, I said bizarre, ugly to approaching the hideous point......after having seen a few elegant flint doubles, this was well.....pitiful.
