Horn Tip - Plan B
«

I started this horn several years back as a screw tip and scrapped it all because the threads didn’t hold in the black tip I had started on. I recently pulled it out of a drawer and decided to finish it. Went with a walnut Virginia-esqe base, a little light antiquing, and the damaged screw tip became a pinned applied tip. Some of my “Plan B’s” work out better than others.

It turned out really nice. I like the shape and colors. Looks like it would comfortable to wear.

Nice job, you will see quite a few horns that started life as a screw tip and ended up having the tip pinned. The horn itself was a great pick to start with.

Brian, sometimes Plan B turns out as good or better than the original intent. Well done, love the horn shape and color.

Very nice. A very good horn-making project.
