A better type of shooting club
« on: November 05, 2019, 08:09:23 PM »
Imagine this: the most beautiful secluded Western Oregon forested mountain top complete with trees, ferns and creeks. The owner allows the Oregon Territory Free Trappers to come on the first Saturday of each month to shoot.
This is a loose collation of dedicated longrifle shooters and buckskinners who would rather shoot and visit with like minded people than be part of a structured group. Here is their motto:
"A group of buckskinners who wish to rendezvous on occasion to camp and shoot together in the manner that our forefathers did in the early 1800's. No club, No dues, & No politics".
The only rules are be safe and have fun. The winner of the days shoot must come early next month and set up the course.
NOTE: the pictures are not from this clubs shoot but is at the above mentioned location. Fort Paradise, Hopewell, Oregon.

Wish we had something like that here in central Alabama.
