A New Hunting Pouch
« on: December 14, 2019, 08:40:05 AM »
Hi folks,
I would like to share with you like minded folk, this pouch I made recently.
Materials used are recycled leather, sourced from a car boot sale e.g the lacing was from a hand plaited waist-belt and the bag leather was from a leather case in poor condition. Could not source a steel buckle so a handmade one was used as I didn't want to use brass.
I would appreciate any comments or feedback to help on future projects.

Thanks,
Steven.

I hate to say this out loud, but I have always enjoyed re-purposing more than creating from new.  A bag like this is going to create its own character with use, and hanging around this forum will make your good start an ongoing work in progress.  If you can think that far ahead, please post it again in about five years.

Nicely done...you’ve taken materials that were destined for disposal, and given them continued usefulness...it doesn’t get any “greener” than that!  That looks like a sturdy bag that will serve you for a long time...good job!
