Happy New Year all, I am planning on a 32 cal plank build rifle and I will be using a 32 cal Douglas tube [ swap meet sale ]Would a 5/16 hole and groove be the way to go? Any comments would help out Thanks Steven.

I used 5/16 hole and groove for the 32s I have made. 5/16 rod lightly tapered to slide freely into the forestock.
