Only use the Dremil spherical stone to remove the part of the line that is protruding into he bore.  This is a very tricky operation that requires a very steady hand.  I f the liner is removable work on it outside of the rifle.    Be very careful not to touch the bore at all.  Steel wool and oil  on a jag or brush will clean up the surface rust.  Don't go in there with a rat tail file, that will trash the bore.

When I mentioned round file, I was referring to a very fine cut chain-saw sharpening file. Carefully used, it will not damage the bore and likely not as much as a Dremil. Those things jump - yes - steady hand indeed, but only a modicum of talent is needed, for either.

I did use chainsaw file to smooth liner. And steel wool with WD40 to hone the rough area. The photo somewhat reveals discoloration where the load sits. Is this normal or should I keep scrubbing?
