Flintlock rifle

Hello,

At last I made two Flintlock locks on scale.
I have a question. Is there anybody who can help me with an example of a slide pan Flintlock?
Preferably from both sides, because I don't know how it works.

First one I've seen and I am scratching my head trying to figure out any advantage to it at all.
Oh, and your little locks show some beautiful craftsmanship! Few, if any of us could do that

I believe that is a two barrel gun. If you look close you can see the lower barrel. The sliding pan would allow a single lock without a swivel. Bet it produces a LOT of doubles

Was having trouble with only one visible vent, but 2 barrels & pans. Now, I see.

Fantastic workmanship! I've never heard of a slide pan lock. It makes a ton of sense with your photos.

If I'm seeing the action correctly?? the shoulder of the hammer is what tips the sliding pan's forward edge up, to release the sliding pan to move back??

Take THAT swivel breech!

Thanks for sharing had no idea. Seems a bit simpler than a swivel breech to the same effect.

Regulation might be a real deal, is all. With the swivel breech, each barrel has sights.  This one has 2 bls. one sight.
I have "heard" that O/U's are not as difficult at SxS's. Others say no difference, both hard.
