I got worms

Can I use the same wormer I use on my dogs to get rid of these?

Sure, just mix with colored expoxy ;)
I had one like that the more wood I removed the more worm tracks.

Ivermectin does a wonderful job of killing a host of parasites.  Trouble you have is that you already killed the host.  Now if the wood was still living, you might have had a chance. 
Kidding aside, that should turn out to be an interesting looking build.  Post your progress please.

I've done a couple worm guns, but nothing that nice.... er, bad!

I'll be patching all of those holes this week. The side plate side didn't show any holes at all when it was a blank.....

I don't think those are worm holes, they are cutter marks from when I inlet your barrel.  I forgot to tell you that I accidentally bumped the "on" switch and the cutter bounced all over the stock before I could shut it off.  ::)

They are long dead I believe. Why don't you drive down here and patch all those holes for me? I could go fishing while you do it! ;D

You really should practice your incise carving on some scrap wood ...
All of my muzzleloaders will shoot into one ragged hole ALL DAY LONG ... it's just the 2nd or 3rd & other shots that tend to open up my groups ... !
