solder and blueing

going to solder a silver piece on a iron patch box lid, but also want to fire blue the patchbox, was going to use 50/50 solder,
fire blue then solder? or??

I would rivet the silver piece to the box lid.  If I remember correctly, you need to be around 700 degrees f. to fire blue.  With that said, you would need to use at a minimum extra easy silver solder that melts somewhere around 1100 to 1200 degrees f.

Dave Rase is right . You might have a problem with 50/50.
