Quick and easy target stand.

Quick and easy to make, and costs about $8
Very adaptable to different types of targets, and portable.
I used 2x4s, 1x4s,  a bit of rope and screws. Boards that the targets staple to are 1x2s.

To build one stand you'll need  two 17" pieces of 2x4, two 24" pieces of 2x4,  one 13 3/4" piece of 1x4, screws and a bit of rope.

Basically you sandwich the piece of 1x4 between the 17" 2x4s.
Then you screw a 24" 2x4 on each end.
Then drill a couple holes for a rope handle, and you're done.
The 1x2s should slide into the stand easily.
If you accidentally shoot one in half, replacements are like $1.50

That basics

Thats the setup I use on my range. It’s handy to move around holds all sorts of target sizes and weights. Thanks for posting.

Yup. That is basically the same design I use for my IDPA target stands. I make the width to the outside edge of the uprights the same width as the target. But, I use two blocks as spacers between the front and back cross pieces at the base, a left and a right so that it leaves a small hole in between to run a metal landscaping stake through on windy days.
