Not all bags were big. In fact many were fairly small
This old original was the topic of a recent article in
Muzzleloader magazine. ( May/June 2020)
It has been restored and Paired with the horn shown.
The horn is fairly small As well. As usual, The bag can’t
be positively dated But the horn style can and was most
likely produced in the late 18th century.
It’s tempting to date the bag early as well
But all I can say for sure is that it appears to have been
Professionally made and well used.
