Finishing Trade Gun Inpsired Rifle

I am finishing a trade gun inspired rifle. The trigger still needs some shaping. Left handed 54 cal.
Cherry plank stock and homemade iron (mild steel) hardware. The next one I do will include beaver tail moldings.
Appreciate any feed back you have. Thanks

Oh Wow, a dream rifle for me, well done. May I ask what are the specs, weight, barrel length, lock, barrel supplier, kit or plank build, etc..
Congrats,
Bob

Interesting, I didn't know that this style of Northwest Gun was ever rifled.

in designing a gun one can stick slavishly to the historical guns or one can express oneself by varying from them. It is all a matter of taste.
Myself I love the old guns and the history they carry with them with subtle differences that mark a time and place that some of us helplessly romanticize.
Very nice gun!
