I had a similar question with a Lancaster .45 flinter I found for $200 at a shop (unfired). The bottom of the barrel was stamped "E. Troupe 1983". Never found anything on the internet or here on ALR about him. A friend wisely told me that during that time period there were a lot of guys who made one gun or a handful of guns, and that was it. Sadly, the flinter this fellow built had runout, and it was oriented side-to-side. Shot 9" left. The way to get it on paper was hanging the sights way off to the sides. Good luck with your search. God Bless, Marc
