Just as the title says. Im wanting to have a builder make me a replica of the Philip Creamer rifle that was made for William Clark. Since price varies for different builders I will just say between $1 up to $5000 for the sake of putting a price to follow rules. Preferbly someone who does not have a 5 year plus wait would be nice as well.

He's gonna kill me, but the first builder I'd try If I needed a custom build would be D. Taylor Sapergia.

Bob Browner made a copy of a Creamer pistol several years ago and I made'the lock for it.
I was not happy with that lock as I recall but Bob thought it was OK.
He is in St.Louis.

Louie Parker. He’s already done one and it is stellar.

I saw this rifle in person when it was in the white, right before finishing.  It is as amazing as it looks.  Louie is a national treasure, as wonderful a human being and scholar as he is gunmaker.  Doubt you could get this one of this quality for 5k though....

On Louie’s, the buttplate is forged and brazed, the guard fabricated, the lock custom, and so on. On Bob Browner’s pistol, a lot of fabrication.

I’ve wanted to attempt that rifle but need to up my game for a few years and then gird my loins and get my mind right. Unlike a lot of guns a fella could want, there are no parts available for this one. Zero. The original is in the History Museum here in St.Louis.

OUTstanding! I think it would be noticeable from across the ball room floor in Lexington.
