Forearm profile
« on: September 07, 2020, 02:16:28 AM »
I am gathering information about the Baxter Bean 3 patch box rifle. I have looked at a lot of pictures, but none of them that I have seen show the forearm profile of this particular rifle. Can someone enlighten me with a picture or even a hand drawn sketch? I need to see a view looking at the muzzle toward the breech. I'm probably wrong, but I think the forearm is a bit concave along each side down next to the ramrod channel. Just would like to make sure before I start making chips.
One of the Baxter Bean rifles has some mouldings on the forearm, but I don't see any on this one.

Thank you for your replies in advance.

I think I caught it really well on video in my two part video on the Alabama Kentucky Rifle Show last year. I’ll find it and post a link with a time stamp. Give me a sec.

It’s not a great look as it was filmed in the early days of my ‘videography’. I think on video two the light is just right on the fore end to get a good look at the shape. Sorry it’s not as good as it could be.
